Changing Lanes
Film - Changing Lanes
We're excited to be partnering with the Pickford Film Center to host a screening of the documentary Changing Lanes. After a beloved teacher is tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn, a grassroots movement emerged to transform a notoriously dangerous boulevard into a safe neighborhood street. The ensuing backlash and neighborhood advocacy are a call to action for democracy at the street level. Lives depend on it.
After the film, Walk & Roll will be hosting Mayor Kim Lund and Assistant Director for Transportation Tim Hohmann for a discussion about how Bellingham is planning safer & more vibrant streets and how you can make sure they get built.
